Description
8:00 Meeting with the guide at the reception of your hotel. Combined excursion Kamakura + Yokohama + Aqualine + hot springs. Kamakura is the ancient military capital of Japan, the city is located on the Pacific coast and is surrounded on all sides by picturesque mountains - this made it an impregnable fortress for enemies. Shinto shrine Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, dedicated to the god of war. It was the family temple of the Minamoto clan. The road to the shrine runs between two ponds: "Genji" - which means life and "Heike" - which means death. Maiden stage, where the wedding of the first shogun of Japan, Minamoto Yoritomo, took place. Cutting the entire city as if in half, stretches the wide sakura alley of Wakamiya Oji, leading from the sanctuary to the ocean. Kotoku Temple and the Great Bronze Buddha (Daibutsu) 13.5 m high. Created in 1252, the shrine survived severe fires, powerful earthquakes and tsunamis. Three-level temple Hasedera. Here, on top of a sacred hill, is the famous gilded sculpture of the eleven-faced goddess Kannon. The tallest wooden sculpture in Japan is 9.5 meters high, it was carved from a single trunk of a camphor tree by order of a Buddhist monk. Moving to Yokohama - the second largest city in Japan is the center of penetration of modern ideas.
Minato Mirai (port of the future) is built with modern architectural masterpieces, which are equipped with high-tech seismic resistance equipment. The central point of the area is the Landmark Tower, built in 1993 by the American Hugh Stubbinson. The 300-meter-high skyscraper is currently the tallest building in the country and is served by the fastest elevator in the world, listed in the Guinness Book of Records. Walk through Yamashita Park, one of the most beautiful parks in the city. From here you have an unforgettable view of Yokohama Bay and the 890-meter long bridge. The liner “Hikawa Maru” (Queen of the Pacific) has sailed the oceans for almost a century, now the ship is a museum and is moored to the pier forever. Travel along the Aqualine super road, 9.5 km long and laid along the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. A viewing platform on an artificial island with the romantic name “Sea Firefly”, the island is located in the middle of the ocean and offers excellent views of the two megacities of Yokohama and Tokyo, and in clear weather also Mount Fuji. Visit to the hot spring complex. Here you will be dressed in a light kimono and you will take all possible relaxing baths. On the general territory of the complex there is a cave with a source of fidelity.
