After breakfast in the hotel, you will meet your guide at the reception for a one-day Okinawa tour. You will visit the amazing Nago Pineapple Park.
At this quirky theme park, everything is either made to look like a pineapple or tastes like one! After all, pineapple is perhaps the most important agricultural crop in Okinawa. The park tour begins with a ride in a unique pineapple autopilot car through the pineapple plantations. As you ride, the auto guide would be speaking about Okinawa's variety of this exotic fruit.
The trip will continue at the famous Churaumi Aquarium. Its name in Japanese consists of two parts: “tyura” – beautiful, graceful, and “umi” – sea. The site is part of the Ocean Exhibition Park. You can see unique whale sharks, the largest species of its kind in the world. The place is full of other oceanic lifeforms, like stingrays, tiger sharks, and sea devils.
You will then have a nice lunch at a local restaurant.
The excursion will then get you to the picturesque ruins of the historical Nakijin Castle. This ancient Okinawan castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the end of the excursion, you will transfer to the hotel.
Enjoy visiting the City of the Shining Sun, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will see the Toshogu historical complex, the funeral site where the spirits of Japan's three most powerful Samurai rest in peace, and, finally, the famous Kagon waterfalls.
